Getting Started with Maple Software Workshop

Assoc Prof. Dr. Tay Kim Gaik delivered the workshop. She covered the following topics:
1) Performing arithmetic and algebraic operations either in numeric or symbolic forms
2) Using eval (), evalf(), subs() and %
3) Factoring an expression
4) Solving and plot equations, and using fsolve for nonlinear equations
5) Expanding and combining an expression
6) Getting coefficient of an expression using coeff()
7) Sorting same power of terms using collect ()
8) Simplifying an expression.
9) Converting quotient functions to partial fractions
10) Performing series expansion
11) Conducting Matrix and Vector operations
12) Defining a function and functions of several variables
13) Evaluating a function and function of several variables
14) Performing function operations
15) Plot graphs of functions and finding their limits
16) Find derivatives and partial derivatives.
17) Evaluating integrals and multiple integrals
18) Solving first-order, second-order and system of ODEs
19) Performing Laplace transform, inverse Laplace transform and solving ODEs using Laplace transform

The last topic “Solve Vector Calculus problem” will be recorded and delivered to participants as already extend the workshop time from 9-12pm to 1pm.
