COMING SOON: Huawei ICT Academy @ FKEE UTHM - 15 August 2019 (Thursday)

Delegates from Huawei and Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) had conducted a site visit on the 15th of August 2019 in preparation for the first Huawei ICT Academy to be located in FKEE. Huawei was represented by Mr. Shengnaiting and Mr. Simon Ng while MOE was represented by Mr. Johan Cruyff@Mohd Johari bin Md Nordin. They visited the Communication Systems Laboratory to inspect its suitability as the location of the proposed Academy. The outcome of the visit reflects a positive feedback with only some changes in the laboratory layout and additional ICT equipment. After the visit, a discussion was held between the delegates and FKEE management consisting of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosli bin Omar – Dean of FKEE, Prof. Dr. Abu Khari bin A’ain – Director of University and Industry Relations Office UTHM, Dr. Jais bin Lias, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fauziahanim binti Che Seman, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Nurshazwani binti Wan Zakaria and Dr. Ansar bin Jamil as the Faculty Coordinator of the Huawei ICT Academy. The establishment of the Academy is another initiative by FKEE to further strengthen the linkage between the Faculty and Industry. As a result, the Academy will offer courses related to the latest technology in ICT from Huawei. Therefore, the FKEE students will have the privilege to acquire latest knowledge in advance from the industrial experts in Huawei as well as preparing themselves to obtain the Huawei Certified Network Associate (HCNA) certificate which is recognised worldwide. By having this certificate, the students will stand higher chances of securing a job placement upon graduation.
