FKEE at Malaysia Semiconductor Recruitment Day 2025

FKEEevents | 10.10.2025 | The Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (FKEE), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), proudly participated in the Malaysia Semiconductor Recruitment Day (MSRD) 2025, an event organised by the Advanced Semiconductor Academy of Malaysia (ASEM) that brought together major semiconductor industry players such as Infineon, TF-AMD, Melexis, Infinecs, SkyeChip, Oppstar, AdoreSys, and SMD Semiconductor.

A total of 80 students and 7 academic staff represented FKEE, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nabihah @ Nornabihah Ahmad, alongside Dr. Warsuzarina Mat Jubadi, Pn. Munirah Ab. Rahman, Dr. Nik Shahidah Afifi Md. Taujuddin, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Siti Zarina Mohd Muji, Dr. Chua King Lee, and Prof. Ir. Dr. Soon Chin Fhong.

This participation provided students with valuable exposure to the real demands of the semiconductor industry, while enabling academic staff to strengthen networks with key industry players for potential collaborations in research, training, and curriculum enhancement.

The initiative reflects FKEE’s continuous commitment to nurturing semiconductor-ready talents and aligns with Malaysia’s National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS) — supporting the growth of a high-skilled talent pipeline and advancing academia–industry collaboration for national semiconductor excellence.
