Abstrak:

Analysis of blood are very important in order to determine any abnormalities and also early detection of disease in human body or animal. Conventional testing and analysis were condcuted in lab via utilization of process and detailed procedures where for example, a drop of blood trasferred from various equipment and depends mostly on eye visualization for the characterization purposes. This research propose a novel method for characterization of blood cell which involve manipulation of microfluidic device and image analysis to perform in-situ, faster and accurate analysis without depending on traditional eye visualization method. Matlab will be use to acquire image from microscope using data acquisition toolbox. Since matlab image processing toolbox is a powerful tool for simulation of algorithm, all the sequence of algorithm will be test using this toolbox. As for pattern recognition, since Support Vector Machine is not available in the Matlab Toolbox the sequence of the algorithm consist of optimisation algorithm will be develop using Matlab M-file.
